WHAT HAPPENED IN OCTOBER

In October we had a great demo by

Brendan Smith.

We had over 30 attendees and Brendan

produced a beautiful painting in 2 hours.

He shared great tips and guidance and we

all learned a lot!

He described his painting as 80% complete,

so he kindly sent us the completed piece

next day for us to see.

WHAT’S ON THE HORIZON

SATURDAY 7TH OF DECEMBER - CHRISTMAS POP UP AT TRINITY CHURCH

This will be the last Pop-up exhibition of 2024!

It’s a wonderful opportunity to showcase your artwork and perhaps make some Christmas sales!

We expect a busy day, as previous pop-ups at Trinity Church have been very popular. Bring your artwork and cards—and if you’re selling cards, please price them starting at £2.50 to keep consistency with other artists.

Christmas hats are very welcome, they help to get into the festive spirit!

SATURDAY 14TH DECEMBER - ART TALK AND CHRISTMAS SOCIAL 2PM AT ST CATHERINE’S VILLAGE HALL

After the talk, we invite everyone to stay for refreshments and social time—a perfect opportunity to discuss the presentation, share perspectives, and connect with fellow members.

ANNOUNCEMENT

GUILDFORD ART SOCIETY - ANNUAL FEES FOR 2025

The annual membership fee for 2025 is set at £30 for exhibiting members with email contact. This is a small increase from the previous rate of £25, which has remained the same since 2019. To keep things in perspective, the Consumer Price Index (CPI) has actually risen by 23% over that time—just a little more than our 20% adjustment. We’ll send out reminders in mid-December. Thank you for your ongoing support, and we look forward to an exciting year ahead!
