Our first GAS Challenge - We think it would be fun to set ourselves Challenges on a bi-monthly or monthly basis - on a wide range of subjects from landscapes to portraits, and everything in-between. This month's GAS Challenge is a special one - to design a new header box for Pipeline! Our header box is a rectangle broadly in the proportion 3 high to 10 wide containing the words "Gas Pipeline" and "The Monthly Newsletter for Guildford Art Society Members". Your artwork can however be any size you like in that proportion, and it doesn't have to contain any words at all if you'd prefer to leave it word-free - we can superimpose those words as necessary. So the design is entirely up to you for background, colours, medium, style and size. If you'd like to enter please send us an email with your image (jpeg file) to ds4GasPipeline@gmail.com by the 20th of March, in time for our April issue. And if you like the present header box and would prefer to keep it - just let us know that too. Coffee and Zoom - We're all missing the social aspects of life, and Sally has kindly offered to host a trial coffee morning on Zoom at 10am on the 6th of March - so why not make yourself a cup of coffee and join us for an informal chat about art, GAS and what we're all up to - joining details are - Click Here Meeting ID: 856 4942 1837 Passcode: 767030 Non-GAS Events you might be interested in - Apple have just launched a series of free online creative sessions called New World - (thank you Sally). Lots of variety in subject matter and mediums. Click Here to check them out. We'll keep our eyes open for anything else interesting and let you know Zoom Tips - To Mute your microphone - Click the little microphone icon in the bottom left corner of your screen - that way you won't be heard by everyone if you make a noise or talk to someone with you. And if we all mute - you won't be disturbed by anyone else!
And Finally - From You To Us!
We hope you like Pipeline - if you'd like to make a comment or suggestion or submit a Challenge entry please send an email to ds4GasPipeline@gmail.com - we'd love to hear from you!
Take Care - and See You Next Month! David - Pipeline Editor
