GAS NEWSLETTER - 1st of October 2024
Hope you are well and embracing the arrival of the new season. As the evenings grow
longer, we're welcoming this change with creativity, bringing you inspiration and sending
warmth your way!
WHAT HAPPENED IN SEPTEMBER
On Saturday, 14th of September, we had another busy Pop-Up at Trinity Church in
Guildford. With around 755 visitors throughout the day, we collectively made over £1,200!
Thanks to the artists who signed up, we were able to raise funds for the church while
enjoying a lovely day chatting with visitors and meeting fellow artists. A big thank you to
everyone who came by and to those who helped with stewarding!

SPECIAL MENTIONS
Surrey Artist of the Year - Sarah Rawlins
Our Guildford Art Member Sarah Rawlins has been nominated for the 2nd year in a row for Surrey Artist of
the year!
Sarah is inspired by the beauty of colours and shapes
found within the natural world. She combine
vibrant shapes and magical patterns, mixing realism with
abstract, to produce a powerful
visual impact for the viewer.
The competition winner will be announced on the 25th
of October. On that day, the public, alongside the
judging panel, will determine the recipient of the
prestigious title of Surrey Artist of the Year 2024.
Good luck Sarah!
