December Newsletter

NEWSLETTER

1st of December 2024

Dear Artist,

As we approach the final month of 2024, the festive season is just around the corner! To help you embrace the holiday spirit, we’ve planned a couple of special events this December.

Together, we’ll celebrate art and hopefully, sell some of your wonderful work! Most importantly, it’s an opportunity to connect, share, and enjoy a lovely time together.

WHAT HAPPENED IN NOVEMBER

We had a successful exhibition at West

Horsley despite the challenges posed by

the weather.

Folios and small framed works proved

particularly popular with visitors, driving

strong sales.

While footfall was noticeably lower on

Saturday and Sunday compared to Friday,

the overall takings remained robust,

reaching an impressive total of £3,858 over

the three days.

This outcome highlights the resilience and

appeal of the exhibition, even in less-than

ideal conditions.

Well done to everyone involved in running

the exhibition and taking part in it!

WHAT’S HAPPENING THIS MONTH

SATURDAY 7TH OF DECEMBER - CHRISTMAS POP UP AT TRINITY CHURCH

This will be the last Pop-up exhibition of 2024!

As before, we will be opening the church doors early to allow exhibitors to drop off their art work before 8.30am when the Hight Street closes to cars. We will also be closing late to allow the same exhibitors to pick up their unsold artwork after 6pm when the High Street reopens to cars.

The team would appreciate if you could let them know at: gas.pop.up@gmail.com

Bring your artwork and cards—and if you’re selling cards, please price them starting at £2.50 to keep consistency with other artists.

It’s a wonderful opportunity to showcase your artwork and perhaps make some Christmas sales!

SATURDAY 14TH DECEMBER - ART TALK AND CHRISTMAS SOCIAL

2PM AT ST CATHERINE’S VILLAGE HALL

Join us for an engaging afternoon with Daphne, a distinguished lecturer in the history of art who brings a wealth of knowledge and passion to her presentations. With years of experience delivering talks to art societies and cultural groups, Daphne has a gift for making art history both accessible and inspiring.

After the talk, we invite everyone to stay for refreshments and social time—a perfect opportunity to discuss the presentation, share perspectives, and connect with fellow members.

Approximately 1 hour, followed by drinks, nibbles, and social time.
